Carrier for Medicare NM Part B ~~ Transition from Pinnacle Business
Solutions to TrailBlazer Health Enterprises, LLC |
|
Over the next several months, you will be receiving a great deal of information regarding the transition from Pinnacle to TrailBlazer as the new Medicare Part B Contracted Carrier for New Mexico. There will be changes and action will be needed on your part. Your EFT agreement, Form CMS-588, MUST be submitted to TrailBlazer prior to the cutover date that is scheduled at this time for March 3, 2008. If you do not supply this form to TrailBlazer, your checks will automatically revert to a paper check mailed by first class mail. Existing EDI enrollment forms will be transferred to TrailBlazer from Pinnacle but any provider who wishes to establish EDI capability with any contractor must complete the standard CMS EDI enrollment form and submit it before production claims can be accepted from that provider. LCDs regarding this transition are being released later this week, probably Friday, to the J4 MAC website. There will be very subtle changes all the way to brand new policies contained in the LCDs. Everyone should read EVERY policy. This is very important!! The LCDs have been consolidated from approximately 800 to approximately 140. The most important thing that you can do for yourself and your practice is to enroll on the J4MAC list serves.
