Post Convention Education Committee Chair Report
By Ben Markham, DC, DIBAK, DACBN, CCN

Many thanks to Jaeni, our executive director, for the great job she did on filling every possible table with vendors and the effective use of the journal and mailings in letting all New Mexico doctors know about the convention. I think everyone would agree that it was one of our best conventions. For those doctors that were not able to attend, they missed two excellent speakers.

Dr. Mark Charette’s presentation on correcting patterns of subluxations in the spine, upper and lower extremities, and relationships to foot imbalance gave us all good clinical pearls to apply in our practices.

Mr. Bill Esteb, from Patient Media, Inc., shared his vision with CA’s in their own seminar on Saturday morning, then with the entire audience on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. He shared his ideas of how doctors can better understand and manage their patients, by seeing the doctor/patient relationship from the patient’s perspective.

Probably, the most visible sign of how good our speakers were was that at 8 a.m., on both Saturday and Sunday, the room was nearly full (that’s 8 A.M.)!

GET READY FOR NEXT YEARS NMCA CONVENTION AND MARK YOUR CALENDAR NOW – APRIL 8, 9, & 10-2005!!!

Our first speaker has already signed on, Dr. Joel J. Pins. He has a medical degree from Harvard in Family Medicine and a Ph.D. in Nutritional Biochemistry from University of Minnesota. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Northwestern Health Sciences University. He will absolutely be one of the finest speakers you have heard. He is on the cutting edge of cardiovascular and diabetic research in his own clinic and speaks with authority and clarity on the latest findings in those areas, as well as arthritis, inflammation and osteoporosis. His philosophy of health and that of chiropractic are so similar that you would think he had studied at a chiropractic college. He will speak for 10 hours and you will not want to miss any of it.
